In a bid to take vocational training deeper into the Indian hinterland, short video platform provider TikTok and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) launched an in-app campaign ‘Skills4All’, on World Youth Skills Day 2019. Through this partnership, the NSDC aims to reach out to 200 million users on TikTok’s platform, especially first-time internet users, to build awareness on the government’s various skill development and vocational training programmes and schemes.

TikTok’s content, which is delivered in 10 different Indian languages and consumed by millions of youth across smaller Indian towns and cities, is being seen as an optimal way to spread the word on vocational skills training.
