Programme ‘Prerana’ by the District Police empowering tribal youth to get recruited

The District Police has collaborated with the Skill Development Institute under a community policing programme called Prerana. So far, 88 candidates from Munchingputtu, Pedabayulu and other interior areas have enrolled in this skill development program where they are also being extended food and accommodation support by the institute.

The training program was addressed by Superintendent B.Krishna Rao who enunciated the importance of imparting employment oriented training through ‘Prerana’. Further Officer S. Satish Kumar said that numerous organisations are prepared to recruit skilled candidates for a handsome salary as he too hails from a remote area and is now a police officer, owing to effective training.
