CUTM offers free training programs

The Centurian University of Technology and Management has selected 200 candidates for free training programs commencing on August 13. These short-term and skill-oriented courses will enable these youngsters to acquire jobs as welders, CNC mechanics, heavy vehicle drivers, and sewing machine operators as well. The candidates were chosen from nearby mandal headquarters and villages with the aim of making these youngsters more self-reliant with the skill development courses at the university. The workforce in the BFSI Sector need to be reskilled

The BFSI sector in India is expecting massive growth in the next 30 years, to be precise, a GDP increase from 2 to 13 percent according to a PWC report. The National Skill Development Corporation has estimated an additional of 1.6 million skilled workforce by the year 2022. With the BFSI sector rapidly adopting digitized solutions, a lot of existing jobs are at risk of eliminations, giving way to new types of jobs with completely different skill sets. Today, the BFSI sector faces a shortage of strong technical, analytical, managerial, and cybersecurity expertise in their workforce. Training and job placements made easier

With the onset of the global coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns, skilling and employment have faced serious disruptions with onsite training programs and job opportunities. Given this, many organizations have come forward providing online platforms to address the issue. e-Skill India was launched by the National Skill Development Corporation, providing about 900 e-courses, most of which are free, with over 7.5lac enrolments. DGT’s Bharat Skills portal also allows for long-term training online. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship launched the Aatmanirbhar Skilled Employee Employer Mapping (ASEEM), a portal for skilled people to find opportunities during the COVID-19 pandemic with over 1,133,200 active jobs on the portal. Read more.
