Training for 50,000 youth under CM Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme by UP govt

Over 50,000 youths will receive apprenticeship training from the Uttar Pradesh government through the CM Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme in an attempt to improve the rate of employment. According to this scheme, the youths will be trained under various initiatives in government and non-government, corporations, cooperatives, private sectors, and Medium Enterprises or MSMEs, all of which are run by Department of Micro, Small, and MSMEs. Everyone undergoing the training will receive INR2,500 every month as allowance – Rs1,500 by central government and Rs1,000 by the state government. Read more.

Skill development, counselling centre for disabled inaugurated

Disabled and differently-abled people face challenges when it comes to finding the right job for themselves or receiving any kind of guidance regarding the same. The district administration in Coimbatore, on Wednesday, inaugurated a counselling centre for the differently abled with the aim of offering guidance on employment and skill development. The centre was inaugurated by Collector GS Sameeran, along with the presence of Selvanagarathinam, superintendent of police, Leela Alex, district revenue officer, and Vasantharam Kumar, the differently abled welfare officer, at the event. An NGO, ‘We Are Your Voice’, collaboratively set up this counseling centre with the aim to connect differently abled individuals with potential employers and HR professionals. Read more.

In UP, queue grows for new Covid Warriors course but past ‘Skill India’ trainees await jobs

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship or the MSDE is inviting applications for a crash course for ‘Covid Warriors’. This course comes under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana or the PMKVY in order to create resources for the healthcare sector as well as logistical support. The Covid Warriors course includes as 21-day theory course followed by a 90-day on-the-job training. Read more.
