A vocational training course on stitching was conducted at Rashtriya Riffles Battalion located at Kalakote in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) between November 1 – November 10. Ten women from the remote villages of Barakh attended the 10 days course.

Along with theoretical classes, emphasis was given on provision of practical training so that these women can start their own ventures. Along with the training, these women were also handed over semi-automatic stitching machines. While this endeavour has empowered the local citizen, it was also a good military-civil interaction.
