Skill India’s Technical Intern Training Program sends 100 Indian interns to Japan

As per an MoU between Japan and India, over 100 interns have been sent to Japan for on-the-job training in manufacturing, textile, agriculture, construction, healthcare, and food manufacturing under the Technical Intern Training Program or the TITP under Skill India. Along with a monthly stipend ranging from 1lac to 1.4lac, interns under this programme will also get the opportunity to hone their skills with international exposure. The MoU promotes international cooperation by means of skills transfer, knowledge, and techniques. The NSDC, under the MSDE, will be managing TITP in India. “Globalisation and technological transformation have accelerated the demand for skilled personnel around the world. We are striving to create an ‘employment ready’ India by reaping the demographic dividend of the young labour force and equipping them with in-demand job training,” said Ved Mani Tiwari, COO and Officiating CEO of the NSDC.

CASE India opens skill development centre to train 240 annually

A new skill development centre was inaugurated by CNH Industrial’s CASE Construction Equipment that will train students on Loader Backhoe operation for free as a part of the Skill India Mission. With the aim of training 240 people annually, this new skill centre has an area of 1200 square feet with two classrooms for theory and counselling classes. Candidates between the age of 18 and 35 years who have passed the 8th grade with a valid LMV license can apply for this training. On completion of the programme, candidates will by hired by CNH dealers, clients, and other backhoe operators or dealers as well. Puneet Vidyathi, the Marketing and Business Development Head for CASE Construction India and SAARC, said, “Through the Loader Backhoe Skill Development programme, we will help the trainees to find employment in the ecosystem through CASE dealer partners, vendors and suppliers or other possible opportunities in the industry within the district or state.”

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launches Digital Skilling Programme for over one crore students

According to a press release, Dharmendra Pradhan, the Minister of Education, spoke at the launch of the Digital Skilling Programme for emerging and future technologies about the need of skilling, reskilling, and upskilling changes for a world going through unprecedented changes. This initiative will provide students will employment, apprenticeship, and internship opportunities with more than 100 manufacturing firms and technology corporates who will also give free-of-cost certificates for emerging technologies. Pradhan also said that the Government will act as a facilitator to create a future workforce by collaborating with policy makers, academia, and industry. This initiative will also enable to AICTE to create skill trainers as well as job recruiters in all parts of the country.
