Dr. Mahendra Nath, the Minister of Skills Development & Entrepreneurship urged the plumbing sector to be a part of the Vocal For Local movement, at the Plumb Skills Expo in Delhi. He revealed the government’s plan to boost the sector and connect the rural and urban landscape, under the launch of PMKVY – 3 Scheme. He also urged the industry leaders and skilled plumbers to take advantage of the ASEEM portal which helps workers and companies connect for jobs.
Other senior officials present also disclosed that small and medium scale businesses will also be highlighted through the expo and industries should focus on use of high end technologies for optimising costs. It was also revealed that the plumbing sector is also set to get a boost because it will plan a valuable role in achieving many of the PM’s goals, like creating an evolved infrastructure, developing smart cities and even the Jal Jeevan Mission.
