The India Skills Report 2021 prepared by Wheebox has once again pointed out the need for skill-training to be incorporated in the Indian education system. Delhi/NCR, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh have come up in the list with the highest number of employable talents in 2021.
Unfortunately 31% of students in Odisha are not employable, shedding light on the lacking of its education system. Odisha is missing in the top 10 lists for skill availability in English (second language), computer skills, numerical and critical thinking etc. In a negative turn of events, the 2021 report shows a drop in India’s youth employability by 45.9%.
