The National Skill Development Corporation or the NSDC signed an MoU with an Unacademy Group company, Relevel, which is one of the leading platforms in India for jobs and skill development. This collaboration between NSDC and Relevel will take place over the coming five years covering many strategic pillars, the main objective being enabling youth to find employment. With this MoU, the aim is to make over 20Lac youths take tests from Relevel and upskill according to the industry requirements. Relevel will support those who clear these tests with placement opportunities with top companies in India on salary levels that are market-oriented.
MESCOM Recruits Engineering graduates and diploma holders for apprenticeship programme
Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited or MESCOM has announced that they are now inviting applications for 183 apprentice posts. This is under the National Apprentice Training Scheme or NATS. Candidates with Engineering Degrees or Diplomas can apply for these posts. All candidates will have to mandatorily sign up with NATS to apply for any of the posts. There are 112 posts available for Graduate apprentices with a monthly stipend of ₹9,000 and 71 for Technical Diploma Apprentices with a monthly stipend of ₹8,000. The duration of the apprenticeship program will be one year.
India-Japan Cooperation for Women Empowerment
Indian PM Modi and Japanese PM Kishida discussed about the cooperation between the two countries at the Annual Summit for India-Japan under the many initiatives like the Technical Intern Training Programme or the TITP and the Specified Skill Workers Scheme or the SSW. India has promised to produce 5000 skilled manpower on an annual basis to be supplied for the Japanese industry and allied sectors. The MSDE also has plans to supply 1500 skilled manpower annually under the TITP and SSW. How women can be more engaged and benefitted from such schemes was also a topic of discussion at this summit.
