New education structure of Telangana

An MoU signed between Medhavi Skills University and the NSDC is going to launch degree and diploma courses that will be skill-embedded and promote work-integration. To provide upskilling opportunities to students as well as working professionals, the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce or the BCIC has signed an MoU with the Brigade Foundation for setting up the Brigade-BCIC Skill Development Academy or the BBSDA. The BFSI SSC collaborates with Acuvisor Insurance Brokers (India) Pvt Ltd to launch an internship programme for training interns in Point of Sale Persons or PoSPs for insurance products. In a move to provide essential skills and knowledge regarding investment banking operations industry to learners, Imarticus Learning and Academy team up to strengthen the former’s Certified Investment Banking Operations Professional Programme or the CIBOP. Cliniminds and Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP) Kerala collaborate with an MoU for giving Skill Development Programmes in the Healthcare and Life Sciences Sector.

Congress accuses ruling party of malpractice in providing Skill Development Training

“While the state government has been making tall claims of being first in skill development, Gujarat does not figure in the top five states on the parameters of employability. According to the report, Gujarat does not figure in the top ten states where students prefer to do internships,” said Congress spokesperson, Manish Dosai, while reporting that the state of Gujarat does not have any cities in the top five for employability in their performance in India Skills Report 2022. He also accused the sympathisers of the ruling party of getting contracts with the excuse of outsourcing instead of providing quality training for skill development. “Crore of rupees are being allotted for skill development, but youth of the state are not benefiting,” he added.

OMC to establish 5 schools, skill academy in its mining areas 

In an official statement, the Odisha Mining Corporation or the OMC is said to be establishing five model schools and a skill academy in its operation area. The OMC and the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan have signed agreement for setting up five ‘Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas’, alongwith an MoU with the Department of Technical Education and Training for setting up the Skill Academy at ITI, Koira. Naveen Patnaik, Odisha Chief Minister, has also commented on OMCs developmental initiatives.

Nagaland: IIE, DESDE ink MoU to promote entrepreneurship

According to an MoU inked between the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship or IIE, under the MSDE, and the Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship DESDE in March, Entrepreneurship Development Centre or EDC will be set up in Kohima for promoting entrepreneurship and an enhanced entrepreneurial ecosystem in Nagaland. The EDC is planned to be established in a BOT model which will be built, operated and transferred to stakeholders.

AMHSSC Donates 51 Lakhs CSR Fund To NSDF For Skill Development And Capacity Building

The National Skill Development Fund or the NSDF has received INR51Lacs as donation from Apparel Made-Ups Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council or AMH SSC as a part of their CSR initiatives. Rajesh Aggarwal, the Secretary of MSDE, appreciated the SCR effort of the AMHSSC towards supporting the Skill India Mission and said that this contribution will expand the skilling sphere, adding new avenues to skill development areas. The Chairman of AMHSSC, Premal Udani, said, “Given the huge task of achieving the target and maintaining quality and sustainability of the skill development mission being pursued in India, we realised that Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship would be a perfect choice to fulfil our CSR contributions, as they have extensive expertise and a focused vision towards skilling the youth of the country.”
