To boost skill training, MSDE organized the 36th Meeting of the CAC with the agenda of reforms in apprenticeship training through amendments to Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. They aim to provide better on-the-job training and opportunities for employment.

With the reforms, the apprenticeship training will make the employers confident about recruiting the right talent. And the employee will be more productive ensuring increased employee retention. According to this, the duration of the apprenticeship training should be 6 months to 36 months. Also, a proper definition of the minimum stipend rate for each category needs to be fixed.
