NCPEDP offers disabled youths a career in the development sector

A three-year scholarship for differently-abled youths is being launched by The National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP). NCPEDP is a leading cross-disability non-profit organisation. The scholarship will help provide a career in the development sector for differently-abled youths. This scholarship is a collaboration between NCPEDP and Azim Premji Foundation. It will be primarily geared towards youths between the ages of 18-28 years. NCPEDP will create a repository through the programme on various disability related issues. A stipend of ₹25,000 will be given to the participants throughout the duration of the programme. Those interested should apply by August 11, 2021 as classes will commence by September 1, 2021. Read more.

Restarting classes as the pandemic slows down

The pandemic had caused major loss of classes, severely reducing their effectiveness. In relation to this, education minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary addresses that the government would initiate special measures to restart them. With the declining covid cases, schools and colleges would soon reopen, hopefully by next month. This would not be without cautiously following covid safety protocols at all institutions. Crash courses will be employed to regain the loss caused by shutting down of educational institutions. Even though there have been continuous online classes soon after covid hit, they couldn’t completely replace normal classes. Read more.

NPCIL requests applicants for 50 new trade apprentice vacancies

50 new trade apprentice vacancies are available at the Narora Atomic Power Station Plant Site in Uttar Pradesh. The Narora Atomic Power Station Plant is part of NPCIL. Completion of one year guarantees Rs 7700 and that of two years will be paid Rs 8855.Those eligible are candidates who have passed ITI in fitter, electrician, electronics or machinist. Another one of the eligibility criteria is an experience of 14-24 years by 2021. Those ineligible are candidates having already done or currently undergoing Apprenticeship under Apprenticeship Act 1961. Taking a microscope to the CBSE mode of education

The National Council of Applied Economic Research and CBSE has collaborated to install skill development in schools. A research study in two phases will take place which will help them implement skill development effectively. The first phase of the study will include identifying gaps and issues with the current system of education in CBSE. The second phase would focus on finding steps and corrective measures for the previously identified problems. The National Education Policy released in 2020 has put a spin in identifying and correcting our decades old education system. The study would bring forth a more relevant mode of study making educations sufficiently more impactful. Read more.
