MSDE Answers Queries regarding Progress Of PM- YUVA Yojana Pilot Project, PM-UMEED

Venkataramana Rao Mopidevi and Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy, the MPs of the YSR Congress Party, looked for MSDE details relating to the progress status of the PM-YUVA Yojana pilot project, which now is also included in PM-UMEED. They also asked for the steps undertaken by the government in order to expedite the implementation of PM-UMEED for increasing the uptake level of youth for this entrepreneurship programme. The Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, replied to these queries saying that the Ministry will implement a Pilot Project, costing 12Cr and covering 10 states and 2 Union Territories, on Entrepreneurship Development (PM YUVA) through Institutes of Skill Ecosystem that will create an enabling ecosystem via entrepreneurship education, training, advocacy, and easy access to entrepreneurship network. National Entrepreneurship Training Scheme Eligibility and Benefits

NATS or the National Entrepreneurship Training Scheme is a one-year Government-run training programme that offers technical qualification for the youth of the country. The training modules in this programme allows Apprentices to learn on-the-job in a swift manner and are also paid a fixed stipend. These apprentices will also have the opportunity to be placed at Central, State, as well as Private organizations for excellent training facilities. Eligible candidates need to be above the age of 16 years, must hold a diploma or degree certificate, and must be an Indian citizen. Those who are already undergoing a government training scheme, are self-employed, is a government employee, or have valid work experience cannot apply for NATS. Read more.

NLC India is inviting applications to hire 550 apprentices

The NLC India is holding a one-year apprenticeship programme in various disciplines for candidates holding an engineering degree or diploma. These vacancies are only available to candidates from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Lakshwadeep. Degree-holders have 250 vacant positions in electrical and electronics engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, and instrumentation engineering and diploma-holders have 300 vacancies in mining, computer science, mechanical, and pharmacy. Once ideal candidates are selected, they will undergo a one-year training period for which they will receive a monthly stipend of Rs.15,028 for graduates and Rs.12,524 for diploma holders. Read more.
