IIM-Vizag to commence MGNF 

The Indian Institute of Management or IIM Visakhapatnam has started the Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship Programme which is a two-year long fellowship conceived to create opportunities for those contributing to enhance skill development at the grassroot-level. Under this programme, 73 students will be trained and will be appointed to 75 districts of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, and Arunachal Pradesh. The first phase of the training will last for two weeks in classroom and the four months deployed in respective districts. This programme aims to identify barriers in employment generation, economic output, and to promote livelihoods of people in rural areas. Skill India: CFTRI to train entrepreneurs in baking tech

As a part of the Skill India Initiative, a skill development programme on ‘Baking Technology’ lasting for 4-weeks from 15th November to 10th December is set to be conducted at the CSIR-CFTRI. The bakery industry claims to be the largest in the food processing segments, having an annual turnover of $7.6billion in the last year. This training programme will serve the fast-growing needs of the baking industry as required by the guidelines of National Skill Development Corporation or the NSDC. Those who enroll will be provided with hands-on training on product development, quality criteria, and choice of quality ingredients. Read more.
