Students pursuing higher education across the country now have free access to a Digital Library, put together by the Uttar Pradesh Authorities with the cooperation of National Informatics Centre. The study material features over 35,000 pieces on 134 subjects including Science, Law, Management, Social Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Foreign Languages and more available for download.
Deputy CM and the state’s education minister Dinesh Sharma explained that the initiative stemmed from the need to make higher education more affordable and accessible when students cannot pursue their education from the boundaries of a physical campus. Students also have access to a helpline number incase of any queries about the digital content.
Since its launch on 5th September, over 61,000 people have already accessed the digital library.
